Bloggiesta: Squeezing It In

So I didn't officially join Bloggiesta this weekend but I had some spare time on Saturday to work on my blog. So what did I do? Here goes:

*Cleaned up the sidebar a bit.
*Deleted a few labels.
*Added Meta Tags to my HTML.
*Made an 'official' Contact page.
*Looked at a few new blog templates (not sure if I should do it- so much work!).

I'd like to add a Shop to my blog without having to be on Etsy anymore- just a few book related items. Not sure how to do this though. Any thoughts?

I wasn't an official participant either, but I did a few of the mini-challenges.

I am beginning to think about a new template as well. The thought is pretty daunting though! I must go back and reread the metatag stuff as I kind of skimmed through that.

Looks like you accomplished a bit during the challenge. I really enjoyed it and learned a lot about blogging and making my site more user friendly.

I didn't officially participate either, but I did manage to draft at least three more book reviews and have them ready to go. Most of the other programming stuff about formatting and links and such just plain intimidates me at this point in time. Some day, I will learn more about it, so that I can make my blog look as cool and official as some of the other ones I've seen.

I signed up at 1 in the morning and then I didn't get anything done once the day started. oops.

I have links to an Amazon associates store. I don't ever earn any money, but it would probably meet your needs.

I'd hoped to participate, but it turned out to be impossible. I'm off in Utah, parts where I cannot get Internet service. Oh well. I can always have a blog work weekend on my own.

Congratulations on getting some great work done on your blog this weekend.

As it relates to the new template, I say if you aren't happy with what you have currently shop around. You might find something you like really well. If you change it and it doesn't work you can always change it back.

I'm unsure of your goal of the Etsy store is but if its to reach a wider audience than I'd stay where you are. There are likely customers there that aren't necessarily interested in books enough themselves but are purchasing gifts. You may lose sales going exclusive on your blog.

I so wanted to do this but I was out of town and now have to deal with unruly Google Reader. :) Apparently I like bloghopping more than fixing up my blog. "contact" or "about me" page has been on my to-do list for a long time.

Templates do seem like a lot of work--I love the cleanliness of your blog, though.

i participated unofficially and added a new page--reviews--where i linked every review i've written thus far. yay for this challenge!

So many unofficial participants! LOL. Glad you got some stuff done and am looking forward to next time.
